An Indian Summer and University of Leicester presents a surprising twist on the story of Diwali re-imagining characters, Hanuman and Ravana as 10ft puppets that tower above a dance battle as two armies collide!
Join us in a short procession of dancers, drummers and stilt walkers. Led by the giant puppets, opposing armies of monkeys and demons will come together and collide in a captivating showcase performance.
The performance will take place in Leicester City Centre from Humberstone Gate to Clock Tower at 5pm on 2nd Friday November.
Join us at Curve for a day packed with fun family activity. Free events include performances on the foyer stage from House of Verse, sitar music in the cafe, dressing up, mehndi artist and backstage tours.

Following the success of Yuva Nartan 2017, Nupur Arts bring an equally exhilarating programme with a brilliant line up of national and international artists for Yuva Nartan 2018 as part of this year’s Inside Out Festival.
Artists for Yuva Nartan 2018 include: Internationally acclaimed Odissi dancer Sooraj Subramaniam, award-winning Kuchipudi dancer Arunima Kumar, BBC Young Dance 2015 Grand finalist Kathak dancer Vidya Patel and award-winning musician Shammi Pithia (London), who will present an extract from their current tour Converse commissioned by Sampad Arts. This event also features brilliant Bharatantyam dancer Subhash ‘Viman’ Gorania and Kathak dancer Kesha Raithatha.
There will be a very special live music performance by Kaviraj Singh Dhadyalla on Santoor and Vocal with Tabla by Bhinderjit Neer, featuring a rhythmic collaboration with Kathak dancer Seetal Kaur showing the nuances of Abhinaya.

Taking place before the famous Diwali fireworks!
